There are three categories of membership in the Australian Reiki Connection

  1. Non Professional Member - conditions apply to this category
  2. Professional Reiki Treatment Practitioner (Non Teaching) Member
  3. Reiki Teacher Member
A One-off administration / Joining fee of $40 is payable in addition to annual membership  fee.

1.  Membership Category: ANPM: Member / NON Professional - Annual Fee $40
Membership in this category is for NON Professionals who have been attuned to the Usui System of Reiki Level I/Shoden (minimum); Level II/Okuden; Level Master Teacher/Shinpiden - who do not offer Reiki Treatments for payment to the Public and do not Teach Reiki to the Public for reward

Non Professional Member category is to facilitate their inclusion and connection with ARC and the Reiki community.

                              

There are many Reiki channels and teachers using Reiki for treating self, family, friends, plants and animals.

They do not intend to provide Reiki treatments to the general public in a professional capacity.
They do not have insurance or first aid certification to treat the public in a professional capacity as prescribed by the code-regulation regime called ‘A National Code of Conduct for health care workers’**

Should ARC members in the Non Professional category start providing Reiki treatments on a fee paying basis or teaching Reiki they are required to inform ARC and change to Professional Category of membership

Non Professional Membership Criteria

  • Have ‘In - Person’ training and ‘Hands -On’ attunement(s) in the Usui System of Reiki by a Reiki Teacher whose qualifications and practices are established as meeting the ARC Criteria for the Teaching of the USUI System of Reiki Amended/Revised 2015

  • Provide a certified copy of your attunement certifications [Justice of the Peace or similar* to certify]

  • Provide a copy of the ‘Teaching Lineage’ directly related to the attunement certifications

  • Agree to abide by and conduct themselves in accord with the ARC Code of Ethics

  • Agree to commit to and support the Mission of the Australian Reiki Connection Inc.

2.  APPM: Professional Reiki Treatment Practitioner Member / NON Teaching - Annual Fee $80

Usui System of Reiki: Level IIIA/Master Practitioner attunement certification]

Membership in this category is for Professionals who have been attuned to the Usui System of Reiki Level II/Okuden (minimum); Level IIIA/Master Practitioner; Level Master Teacher/Shinpiden - who offer Reiki Treatments for payment to the Public but who do not Teach Reiki to the Public.

Membership Criteria

  • Have ‘In-Person’ training and ‘Hands-On’ attunement(s) in the Usui System of Reiki by a Reiki Teacher whose qualifications and practices are established as meeting the ARC Criteria for the Teaching of the USUI System of Reiki Amended/Revised 2015

  • Provide a certified copy of your attunement certifications [Justice of the Peace or similar* to certify] Certified on the FRONT/FACE of the Document

  • Provide a copy of the ‘Teaching Lineage’ directly related to the attunement certifications

  • Agree to abide by and conduct themselves in accord with the ARC Code of Ethics,ARC Code of Professional Practice and to respect the ARC Complaint Management and Reporting Process, which is used in all instances of complaint against a member

  • Agree to commit to and support the Mission of the Australian Reiki Connection Inc.

  • Provide an Australian Business Number (ABN) at minimum entity type; Individual/Sole Trader

  • A Personal & Professional Development (CPE Points) Booklet is to be completed by all Professional members annually

  • Agree to comply with the code-regulation regime called ‘A National Code of Conduct for health care workers’** which applies to all health care workers including Reiki practitioners who are not registered under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for health practitioners, and to registered health care workers who offer health services not covered by their registration.

Insurance: It is imperative that you have appropriate combined liability Insurance (Public Liability & Professional Indemnity) Note: Home insurance is not sufficient. If you do NOT currently have existing/current combined liability insurance and/or existing/current first aid certification then please proceed with and submit your application and provide this at a later stage(s).


Members of ARC can avail of inexpensive and effective Insurance cover through our preferred Insurance brokers AJ Gallagher:  Website: www.ajg.com.au

 

First Aid: It is required that in the course of providing treatment or care should an adverse event occur the provider has first aid available to deal with the event. The recommended First Aid course is the HLTAID003 Provide first aid which is a three yearly renewable certification.

If you do NOT currently have  existing/current first aid certification then please proceed with and submit your application and provide this at a later stage(s).

Members of ARC can avail of inexpensive and effective training through our preferred provider: APTS Australian Pacific Training Solutions Website: www.auspactraining.com.au

                                                            Practitioners are free to choose their own Insurers / First Aid Trainer

 

Informed  Consent: It is imperative that you have, prior to commencing a treatment or service, ensured that consent appropriate to that treatment or service has been obtained and complies with the relevant State/Territory Law(s)

 

Record Keeping: It is required that the provider must maintain accurate, legible and up-to-date clinical records for each client consultation. Ensuring that records are located in a secure place and not subject to unauthorised access

 

The remaining clauses contained in the code are no less important than the above referenced clauses. All clauses should be understood and adhered to in full.

Having satisfied these requirements and doing so on a continuing basis, the members name will be included on the Directory of Referred Practitioners & Teachers, only if they choose that option

 

3.  APTM:Teaching Member / Professional Reiki Treatment Practitioner & Reiki Teacher - Annual Fee $100

Membership in this category is for Reiki Teachers who have been attuned to the Usui System of Reiki Level Master Teacher/Shinpiden and who Teach Usui System of Reiki - Level I/Shoden and/or Level II/Okuden and/or Level IIIA/Master Practitioner and/or Level Master Teacher/Shinpiden and who may/may not offer Reiki Treatments to the Public for payment

Membership Criteria

  • Have ‘In-Person’ training and ‘Hands-On’ attunement(s) in the Usui System of Reiki by a Reiki Teacher whose qualifications and practices are established as meeting the ARC Criteria for the Teaching of the USUI System of Reiki Amended/Revised 2015
